Prototypes
Paper pulp as an experimental material is utilized as a way to capture the form and texture of found containers, and tiling design is applied on in the digital modeling stage. This study becomes the prototype for the potential pool shape condition.

Compression vs Expansion
The site, an existing historic building in Downtown San Luis Obispo, is considered the outermost container that includes the program--a municipal swimming pool. Inside this container, two volumes are put together to form pools (smaller containers) and to create a contrast between compression and expansion experience.
